Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing

1. The standard panel of 8 antibiotics tested using the Kirby-Bauer method are: Amoxicillin/Clavamox, Amikacin, Cephalothin, Erythromycin, Novobiocin, Penicillin, Tetracycline, Sulfa/Trimethoprim.
2. Up to 3 of the above antibiotics can be replaced by one of the following antibiotic sensitivity test disks in stock: Amikacin, Cefazolin, Sulfisoxazole.
3. Disks for susceptibility evaluation of 33 other antimicrobials can be obtained by special request. To view our complete list, Link to PDF File.
